Android. I've had this now over 6 months works as i expect it to do Ethan though it has advanced technology its easy to use and work around the menu. A surprising amount of bass coming from the tv and it's loud even at low volumes which is a 10 in my book. If you read our reviews from last year or our 2017 review of the Panasonic EX700 you will see that we pointed to the exact same criticism towards other mid-range TVs. All the connections on the TV are situated on the left side at the rear and the selection is par for the course with TVs in this price bracket. Happy with the TV features. Dolby Vision (HDR with dynamic metadata) is missing, but very few TVs (really only LGâs 2017 OLEDs) boast that out of the box, let alone TVs at this Sonyâs end of the affordability spectrum. One thing which bother me sometime is that its software somtimes glitches, that is i have to turn it off and switch it on again, otherwise great tv. Went for this model for the upscaling and 100hz panel, coupled with last time we were in the market we found the upscaling capability on Sony’s to be better than other brands and the decent life of the previous set meant we felt it was the safest set to buy blind. Slight critique due to lack of Now TV app which I can't find anywhere to download and sound sometimes goes off (I'm using an home cinema system) and I need to change speaker to TV and back to home cinema. Slow-panning shots in 24 frames per second movies are free of telecinic judder and without needing interpolation and, if you do want to use interpolation either to improve motion clarity or smooth out judder even further, Sony's Motionflow technology tends to introduce fewer artefacts than other brands' implementations. This is quite annoying when watching a film with bars top and bottom. Has great picture and sound quality. Overall, i'm very please. The TV is great, good quality, sound and picture are amazing.
